Rowayton Farmers' Market: Noon to 5 p.m. Pick up fresh fruit, vegetables and other items from local farmers and vendors. Pinkney Park, 1 Rowayton Ave.
Norwalk Greek Festival: 5-11 p.m. The Greek Festival continues with Greek food, games, dancing, music, raffles and more. St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 W. Rocks Road.
Saturday, Aug. 25
Furniture Tag Sale: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. Thomas the Apostle Church hosts a furniture tag sale in advance of its yearly tag sale in September. St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave.
Brien McMahon Marching Band Fundraiser: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Brien McMahon High School Marching Band and Color Guard will be having a mattress sale to raise money for the Music Department. Name-brand mattresses will be sold for 30 to 60 percent off retail price. Brien McMahon High School, 300 Highland Ave.
Once Upon an Author: 11:30 a.m. Join local author Alyssa Satin Capucilli, creator of Biscuit and Katy Duck, for a story time followed by book signing. Stepping Stones Museum for Children, 303 West Ave.
Norwalk Greek Festival: Noon to 11 p.m. The Greek Festival continues with food, games, dancing, music, raffles and more. St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 W. Rocks Road.
Puss in Boots Screening: 5:30 p.m. Families can enjoy a free screening of Puss in Boots. There also will be activities for kids and a demonstration by Karate Universe. Shady Beach.
Sunday, Aug. 26
Trifitness Womens Only Triathlon and Duathlon: 6:30 a.m. Trifitness of Fairfield sponsors the countys first women's-only race. The triathlon consists of a half-mile swim, 11-mile bike ride and 3.1 mile run. The duathlon is a 1.5-mile run, 11-mile ride and 3.5 -run. Part of the proceeds will go to TeamBrent to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Shady Beach.
Norwalk Greek Festival: 1-10 p.m. The Greek Festival concludes with food, games, dancing, music, raffles and more. St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 W. Rocks Road.
