NORWALK, Conn. -- Artists in all media who would like to be considered for Rowayton Arts Center exhibiting artist membership may download the Exhibiting Artist Standards and a bio form from www.rowaytonartscenter.org.
Applicants should bring the biography form and three framed works or one sculpture (together with photos or slides of other sculptured works) to the RAC Gallery, at 145 Rowayton Ave., Rowayton, on Thursday, May 14, between noon and 5 p.m.
Works must have been done within the past three years. There is no application fee. The committee meets on Friday, May 15.
The Exhibiting Artist Selection Committee meets three times each year -- in January, May and September. Six of RAC's monthly exhibitions are open to exhibiting members only.
For more than 50 years the Rowayton Arts Center has provided a welcoming environment for regional artists to exhibit and sell their work, exchange arts-related ideas, and participate in classes and workshops for creative people of all ages and at all levels.
The Arts Center Gallery is open to the public, and admission is free. Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
