Preview Features Filmmaker Q & A

Nicole Kidman, Aaron Eckhart, Sandra Oh and Dianne Wiest are among the talented ensemble of actors appearing in the new film "Rabbit Hole," the story of a married couple's attempts to adjust to a shocking loss. On Dec.16, the film will have its Connecticut premiere at Stamford's Avon Theatre. Its director, John Cameron Mitchell, will be present for the screening and answer questions from the audience following the showing. Mitchell also directed and starred in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch."

The film "Rabbit Hole" was written by acclaimed playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. He won a Pulitzer Prize for the play from which it was adapted. Cynthia Nixon and John Slattery starred in the 2006 Broadway stage version.

In a review of the film, Variety writer Peter Debruge showered it with praise."Adroitly expanded from the legit hit by playwright David Lindsay-Abaire (its original, Pulitzer-winning author) and director John Cameron Mitchell, 'Rabbit Hole' fittingly offers a parallel-universe variation on what Broadway auds saw, with Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart delivering expert, understated performances as the pic's central couple." This sneak preview of "Rabbit Hole" Dec. 16 begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. For more information, visit the Theatre's website.
