Norwalk's Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Offers Old-Fashioned Flea Market

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will host its ninth annual Old-fashioned Flea Market Sunday, Sept. 18.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Mathews Park, 295 West Ave., Norwalk. 

It features a wide variety of booths offering vintage, new, and one-of- a-kind items for bargain hunters from throughout the metropolitan area,, as well as trendy food trucks with a mix of cuisines, live music, dance demos and a classic and antique car show.

“Hunting for a special item at the right price is so much fun at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion’s Old-fashioned Flea Market,” said Lynne Byington, the event's chairwoman. “There are so many great vendors this year and the entertainment throughout the day, including tours of our magnificent landmark at half price, will add great energy and excitement to this sought-after event.” 

The museum shop will be open during the event and feature new merchandise with a broad selection of gift ideas, including hostess gifts, presents and must-haves. The shop boasts an eclectic and elegant mix of fabric totes, dish towels, designer jewelry, elegant scarves, books and other museum-centered accessories. 

All proceeds will benefit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum. 

Vendors wishing to reserve a space or purchase an ad in the complimentary program booklet distributed to all visitors should call Melissa Feliciano, museum services manager, at 203-838- 9799 Ext. 4. Vendor spaces are 10 x16 feet and cost $75. Food vendor booths are $150. The deadline is Thursday.
