It is a collaboration with the New England Design Fashion & Design Association and runs Jan. 14 to April 1.
There will be an opening reception Thursday, Jan. 14, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the gallery.
The exhibit features the works of New England Fashion & Design Association students who have created pieces of art expressed in the form of a fashion collection.
The nine students, ages 13 to 17, were asked to take inspiration from the 2008 African Collection by John Galliano for Christian Dior.
The young designers researched African art and attire and experimented with different media to express their feelings in their designs.
The New England Fashion & Design Association offers hands-on industry experience for adults and youth through labs and workshops, after school programs, and a summer camp.
