"Legally Blonde" Wins its Case

In the movie, Reese Witherspoon played the demure but iron-willed blonde, Elle Woods, who conquers Harvard Law School. Now see Elle's take-no-prisoners style in her mind-over-ditz story when "Legally Blonde," the musical comedy takes over Shubert Theater's stage from May 13 through 15.

With music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, "Legally Blonde" opened on Broadway in 2007, prompting New York Magazine to call it a "Feel good song and dance juggernaut."

Its story follows Elle, as she determinedly lands admission to Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend. Of course, her pinkalicious, non-scholarly style rankles classmates who root against her but, she manages to show her true colors -- and grit -- and win them over.

Nominated for seven Tonys on Broadway, "Legally Blonde" won three Olivier Awards during its London run. See the show Time Magazine called "An Elle of a Show" and celebrate girl power. Tickets are $15-$75 and performance times vary. For more information, vistit the Shubert's website.
