K.D. Lang To Perform At Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – The North American tour of Grammy Award-winning artist k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang is coming to the Ridgefield Playhouse on Aug. 14.

The muscians perform songs from their latest album, "Sing it Loud" as well as songs from lang’s decades-long career since she came onto the music scene from Canada. lang’s style has been difficult to pin down, though usually it is described as “whimsical and subversive pop.”

She has won four Grammys and nominated for another seven since 1989. In 1989, she shared her first Grammy Award with Roy Orbison for Best Country Vocal Collaboration for the song "Crying."

Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Lera Lynn will be lang’s special guest at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
