Huey Lewis and The News Headline

Once again, The Levitt Pavilion picks big name performers who deliver a big blast of fun for their fundraiser. This year, Huey Lewis and The News carry on the tradition and perform  their upbeat, party-hearty, pop/rock songs in a July 8 benefit for The Levitt.  Many of their tunes, "If This Is It," "Workin' for a Livin'," "I Want a New Drug," "The Heart of Rock & Roll," "Stuck With You," "Jacob's Ladder," "Hip to Be Square," "Heart and Soul," " Perfect World," and "The Power of Love" are enduring mega-hits that burst with energy."The Power of Love," featured in the film "Back to the Future," was a 1985 number one song and nominated for an Academy Award. Following it, Huey Lewis and the News released their album Fore! in 1986.  It reached number one on the Billboard 200. The album had five, top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified triple platinum. Even if you know all of their songs, don't miss the chance to see these engaging and effervescent musicians for a one-way trip to "The Heart of Rock & Roll." Tickets are $95 for preferred seating or $70 for general admission. Chairs are provided. The concert begins at 9 p.m. There are also optional pre-and post-concert parties.
