Gospel Concert In Norwalk Helps Feed The Hungry

NORWALK, Conn. -- Chris Coogan and the Good News Gospel Choir will perform a Fall Season Benefit Concert at 5 p.m. on Saturday, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Norwalk.

Funds raised during the concert will support the church’s community outreach programs, including feeding the hungry during the holiday season. 

The theme of the performance is “Let Everything That Hath Breath.” Special guests performers will include members of the Stevens Memorial AME Church Choir (in South Salem) under the direction of Andrew Levine. There will be a presentation by a special guest speaker, Pastor John Anderson of the Bethel AME Church of Harrisburg, Pa.

Altos: MaryPat Pino, of Westport, Laura Lawlor, of Southport, Maxine Meyerhardt, of Shelton, Andrea Rudolph, of Trumbull, Georgette Wirth, of Norwalk, Nicola Fuller, of Fairfield, Barbara Zichichi, of Stamford, Emma Cabaness, of Katonah, N.Y. 

Tenors: Serge Karpow, of Wilton, Mark Demmerle, of Westport, Sara Sikes, of Norwalk, Russell Rowan, of South Salem, N.Y., Brian Dorias, of Norwalk, and Steve Bustamante, of Monroe.

General admission to the performance is $20. Senior discount tickets are $15. Families of three people or more qualify for an admission of $30.
