Disney produced just 13 prints of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" for 70 mm IMAX projection and the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk has the only copy in Connecticut.
The film opened Friday and runs Thursdays to Sundays at 5 and 8 p.m. in the Aquarium's IMAX theater.
Other cinemas in Connecticut are showing “Rogue One” but with digital projection onto screens smaller, said spokesman Dave Sigworth.
The Maritime Aquarium’s theater has a six-story screen, allowing for brighter, clearer images at almost 10 times the resolution of standard- projection formats, he noted.
“Even if you saw ‘Rogue One’ in your local movie house, you have not yet experienced "Rogue."
One’ as you will here at The Maritime Aquarium,” Sigworth said.Click here for tickets.
