Dogs Display Their Courageous Skills

Trained dogs show off how precisely and courageously they do their jobs, and a giant red, canine-wannabe, Clifford, does his, giving furry hugs and paw shakes, at a weekend-long celebration highlighting our passion for and dependence on dogs. Search and rescue dogs, therapy dogs, K-9 police officers, seeing eye dogs and even super-star Bull Terrier, Rufus, 2006 Westminster Best in Show winner, are on hand at Mystic Seaport's Dog Days, August 27-29. Also attending are dogs available for adoption, who hope to find a forever family. On Friday evening, Rufus gets the ball rolling, so to speak, by strutting his stuff as Grand Marshalof the Dog Days parade.
