Two Norwalk Firms Make Inc. 500's List Of Fastest-Growing Companies

NORWALK, Conn. -- Two firms in Norwalk are among the 500 fastest growing businesses in the nation, according to a ranking from Inc. magazine.

Inc. publishes an annual ranking of companies, measuring their rate of revenue growth over the past three years. Norwalk’s Datto, a data security company, makes its third appearance in the top 500 at 314 - the highest ranked Connecticut company.

No. 314: Datto with a three-year growth rate of 1,482 percent, and $48.9 million in revenue
No. 476: North American Power, an energy firm with a three-year growth rate of 991 percent and $263.3 million in revenue

Independent electric supplier North American Power has hired 80 of its 100 employees in the last year.

A third Connecticut firm made the list, Hamden-based Votto Vines, a wine-importing firm, at No. 464. It has a three-year growth rate of 1,023 percent with $4.3 million in revenue.

This is a light year for Connecticut on the Inc. rankings. Last year, the Nutmeg State had seven companies on the fastest-growing 500 list.
