The other nominees in the category included nationally known retailers and large shopping centers. They were the Yankee Candle Village in South Deerfield, Mass.; the L.L. Bean flagship store in Freeport, Maine; Settlers’ Green Outlet Village in North Conway, N.H., and the Vermont Country Store in Weston, Vt.

The About.com Readers' Choice Awards were started five years ago to honor the best products, features and services as selected by its readers.
