This is the first location in the city, adding to the more than 1,000 Sport Clips across the country.
“What’s better than being in a relaxing environment, where sports are on TV everywhere you look, with well-trained stylists and no need for an appointment when it’s time for a haircut?” said Amy DaSilva, team leader for the new Sport Clips franchise. “Those are just a few reasons why we know Sport Clips will be a hit for the guys here in Norwalk.” DaSilva owns two additional Sport Clips locations, including Connecticut's first in Milford. That store opened in 2010. She decided to leave a successful 15-year career in the corporate world to become a small business owner.
"I knew I wanted to be my own boss,” she said. “Franchise ownership makes that possible, but also provides a system. You’re not ‘reinventing the wheel,'' she said. She plans to open three additional locations in Fairfield County within the next two years.
Sport Clips in Norwalk will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the store website.
