CEO Jerry Stritzke said the move fits with the company motto of "being outside makes our lives better" and will allow employees to avoid the crush of the aisles on that big shopping day and get outdoors.

Over 12,000 employees will be paid for the time off on the day after Thanksgiving, reported Forbes.

There will be a crew managing the company's website that day.
