NORWALK, Conn. -- Think Texas honky tonk when you hunker down for a burger or wings at Johnny Utah's in South Norwalk.
Barbecue and Southwestern entrees at pocket-friendly prices affect hearty appetites, while beers, cocktails, a mechanical bull and country line dancing adds to SoNo’s robust nightlife scene.
Open daily for lunch and dinner the eatery's Americana inspired expanse interior features a beer can flag wall and chandeliers made of deer antlers.
As for the food, expect the Western theme to continue with $5 10-ounce grass-fed, all natural hamburgers. Special for August is a hamburger with chopped garlic, onion, jalapeño peppers with bread crumbs, cheddar cheese and whipped egg.
Chicken wings are another popular order and come dusted and deep fried, Buffalo style, and barbecued with honey, Guinness, Sriracha, lemon pepper, teriyaki, and garlic parmesan.
Other highlights include pulled pork sandwiches, fish and chips, fried chicken and hand-cut Freight Train Fries, the latter of which feature cheese, pulled pork, bacon, scallions, onion rings, and come with chipotle mayonnaise.
