Fairfield County Stores Among Best, Worst Black Friday Retailers

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Many national stores with outlets in Fairfield County were among those included in an analysis of 2014's Best and Worst Black Friday Retailers conducted by WalletHub.com.

JCPenney earned the top spot with its overall discount rate at 65 percent, with Costco earning the bottom spot with a percentage of 39 percent, according to the report.

Macy's earned the second spot with a 54 percent overall discount rate on Black Friday, according to the report.

Rite Aid, Sears, Walgreens, Office Depot and Office Max, Ace Hardware, Kohl's and Staples also placed on the best list, according to the report.

Big Lots and Amazon were among the lowest on the list for discounts, the report said.
