The new Norwalk spot -- think of it as a wine bar but with beer and cheese pairings -- opened Saturday, Oct. 21 and prides itself on its ever-rotating selection of craft beers curated with an emphasis on selections from the northeast.
Add gourmet cheeses supplied by Manhattan's Murray's Cheese. and you've got a casual, relaxed atmosphere in which to sip your suds.
The concept behind the new business, according to Co-Owner Jennie Bedusa, is "to provide a never-ending supply of new, interesting, delicious and perfectly crafted brews in a space filled with great music and lively conversation."
On the tap list at the moment: Back East Porter, CounterWeight Headway, Industrial Arts Metric, Jack's Abby Kiwi Rising and North Coast PranQster.
Bedusa, who was raised in Westport, owns the spot with Smith Reynolds whom she met at the University of Vermont.
Spigot Beer, open at 4 p.m.Wednesdays to Sundays, is at 17 Washington St., www.spigotbeer.com/
