HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. – Charlene H. Brill, a lifelong area resident of Hopewell Junction, died Sunday, July 10. She was 66.
She was born in Kingston on June 26,1950.
She attended the New Paltz Campus School and graduated in 1968 from Highland High School. She had been employed as an administrative assistant at IBM in Poughkeepsie, an administrative assistant for Putnam ARC, a licensed Real Estate Agent for Rand Manning and Country Charm Real Estate, a receptionist for Steven Amendola Salon, and a rental agent for Mountainview Garden Apartments.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Evelyn D. Antonakos, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, July 9. She was 92.
She was born Dec.4,1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late George and the late Stephanie (Loukakls) Duke.
She previously owned The Plaza Restaurant and the Riverside Restaurant. Her and her husband also owned Poughkeepsie Billiard Supplies and Gold Crown Billiards. She was very in evolved in the Church helping with BINGO and was also a member of the Philoptochos Assoc.

NORWOOD, N.J. – Gregory Luzzi, a lifelong resident of Norwood, died Saturday, July 9. He was 62.
Born Oct.14, 1953, he was the son of Salvatore and Evangeline Luzzi.
He worked as an automotive insurance adjuster for Rockland County Body Inc. in Haverstraw for many years.
He is survived by his twin brother, Bruce; brothers, Robert and George Luzzi; niece, Michelle Luzzi; and nephew, Michael Luzzi.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Wendell A. Leier, a resident of Rutherford, died Saturday, July 9. He was 91.
Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Leier.
In 1924, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Air Corps. during World War II, as a gunner on the B-24 Liberator. During his tour, his plane was attacked by a fighter group of Japanese Zeros. He managed to take out a few of them with his bow turret gun but one Zero slipped through and shot and damaged the fuselage and an engine. OSSINING, N.Y. – Paul A. Gualano, a resident of Ossining, died Saturday, July 9. He was 59.
He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his undergraduate education and received a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University's School of Social Work. He worked at the Center for Urban Community Services, a nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness, for more than 25 years and was the chief operating officer.
A month before his passing, he attended the ribbon cutting of a supportive housing apartment building that has 107 units, a roof deck and an outdoor patio.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Dorothy Gilday Crumm, a resident of Punta Gorda, Fla. and formerly of New Rochelle, died Tuesday, June 28. She was 89.
Born May 26, 1927, in New Rochelle, she was the daughter of Marie and James Gilday.
She was one of eight children and graduated from Alfred Leonard High School. She was a registered nurse, graduating from St. Mary’s (Hoboken). She enjoyed a long career in New Rochelle in pediatrics and geriatrics.

POMONA, N.Y. – Charlotte Levy, a resident of Pomona, died Sunday, July 10. She was 88.
She was born July 19,1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Funeral services were Monday, along with interment at New Montefiore Cemetery.

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Constantino A. Fortus, a resident of Hackensack, died Friday, July 8. He was 82.
Born in Rosario, Batangas, Philippines, Constantino came to the United states three years ago, where he settled in Hackensack.
He is survived by his wife Julita; children; and grandchildren.
