BETHEL, Conn. — Do you love rides? Are you craving fried dough? Then the 41st Annual St. Mary's School Carnival is the place to be in Bethel.
The fun and games are set up on the lawn at the Municipal Center at 1 School St. in Bethel. Proceeds benefit the programs at St. Mary's School.
The hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
There is a break in the festivities from 2 to 4 p.m. to honor those who have served the country in the Bethel Memorial Day Parade.
Every day is bracelet day for unlimited rides.
This year's carnival raffle offers a first prize of $5,000, second prize of $1,000 and third prize of $500, with the drawing at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 21.
There is a pie-baking contest on Saturday, May 20. Drop your pies by 2 p.m., with judging at 2:30 p.m. The entry fee is $5 per pie.
