Stratford Beaches Will Be Closed Friday Put away the bathing suits. The beaches in Stratford are closed Friday, June 29 for swimming due to all of the recent rain and concerns about bacteria. Town officials said the beaches are closed for precautionary measures after receiving more -than 1 inch of rain Thursday.
