CT Man Threatened Walmart Employees With Knife, Racist Language, Police Say
A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly threatening Walmart employees with a knife and racist language.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1 in Milford, at the store on Boston Post Road.
Officers responded to the store for a threatening complaint where employees said that Anthony Kane, age 32, of Milford, approached them with a knife in his hand, said Milford Police.
Kane threatened to kill the employee and called them a racial epithet, police said.
He also spit at them but missed and threatened another employee, police said.

A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly attempting to cut a woman's dog's throat when the animal would not stop barking during a domestic dispute.
Edwin Gonzalez, age 30, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, May 31, by Milford Police when they responded to the Mayflower Motel for a domestic violence report.
An investigation found that Gonzalez, who had an active order of protection against him, pushed the victim on a bed during an argument, Milford Police said.

Man Attempted To Rob Woman Behind Fairfield County Restaurant, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a woman as she was walking in a parking lot behind a restaurant.
Joseph Riley, age 40, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Sunday, May 30, by police following the reported attempted robbery in Darien, said Sgt. James Palmieri of the Darien Police Department.
According to Palmieri, the woman told officers that a Black man wearing a gray sweatshirt approached her and demanded money as she walking behind the Bodega Taco Bar.
When she refused to give Riley money, he attempted to pull her purse off her arm, police said.

Man Shot, Killed While Working At CT Store
A 27-year-old is behind bars after allegedly shooting another man to death at an area tire store.
The victim was killed while at work around 8:50 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 26, in New Haven County at Town Fair Tire, 63 Boston Post Road in Orange, said the Orange Police Department.
According to police, Joshwua Figueroa, of New Haven, was shot multiple times by Terrance Allen, 24, also of New Haven, as he was working at the tire store.
Allen immediately fled the scene after the shooting. Phone contact was made with Allen shortly after the shooting but he failed to turn himself in, police said.

Man Caught Shoplifting Left Kids Home Alone, Norwalk Police Say
A Fairfield County man was arrested after being caught for alleged shoplifting at a Walmart store and then telling police he left his small children at home.
Christian Otero, 37, of Norwalk, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 13, after running from a Walmart security officer with alleged stolen merchandise, said Lt. Jared Zwickler, of the Norwalk Police.
When officers arrived at the store, Otero was being held by loss prevention and was arrested by officers.
Otero had stolen $264 in merchandise from the store before running out, Zwickler said.

New Haven Man With Seven Warrants Out For His Arrest Apprehended In Milford
Milford Police have arrested a New Haven man with a whopping seven outstanding warrants out for his arrest.
Clinton Edwards, 49, New Haven, was arrested on July 21, while police were investigating the report of a stolen vehicle, police said. Among other things, Edwards is accused of skipping out on scheduled court appearances five times in 2020.
Edwards is being charged with possession of a stolen license plate, two counts of larceny, two counts of conspiracy to commit larceny, and five counts of failure to appear, police said. He is being held on an $82,500 bond.

Man Arrested After Allegedly Refusing To Leave A Home, Greenwich Police Say
A Fairfield County man was arrested for alleged criminal trespass and for violation of probation after police responded to a report of an "unwanted male."
Jaime Barboza, 32, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 14, after Greenwich Police responded to a home on Edgewood Avenue, said the Greenwich Police.
When officers arrived at the home, the repeatedly attempted to coerce Barboza from the residence, police said.
