Former Police Chief, Veteran From Brookfield Dies
A former police chief from Connecticut who led a department in Northern Westchester is being remembered for his lifetime of public service. Fairfield County resident Fred Gambino, Jr. of Brookfield, the former chief of the North Castle Police Department, died on Sunday, Dec. 3 at the age of 86, the department announced on Monday, Dec. 11. Born in White Plains in 1937, Gambino graduated from White Plains High School before going on to serve in the Marine Corps. New Officer Joins Bethel Police Force
The Bethel Police Department introduced its newest officer via Facebook. Michael Iadarola was sworn in during a special ceremony on Wednesday. He will spend the next six months attending the Police Academy before returning to Bethel to complete his field training.

17 Hires Give Bridgeport PD 100 New Officers In Last Two-Plus Years
Mayor Joseph Ganim and Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez welcomed the 17 newest police recruits training at the Bridgeport Police Academy this week. The 17 new recruits bring the total number of new officers to 100 since Ganim took office in 2015.
