Speed Limits Changed On Nine Roads In Ridgefield Several changes have been made to the speed limits on a total of nine roads in Ridgefield, according to the Ridgefield Police Department. These speed limits went into effect between Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31 and are in line with the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Office of the State Traffic Administration approved town road speed limits. The following town roads and/or portions of town roads have been altered: 1. Lafayette Ave – Washington Street to Copps Hill Road (changed to 20 mph) 2. New Warning Issued After More Car Break-Ins Reported In Ridgefield Police in Ridgefield are cautioning local residents to be sure their car doors are locked and valuables removed following newly reported incidents of car break-ins. The Ridgefield Police Department issued an alert to residents following multiple reports of money being stolen from parked cars that have been cropping up in recent weeks, including an incident where a credit card and hundreds of dollars were stolen from several cars on Old Sib Road driveways last month.
