Victim Enters Local Business Seeking Help After Being Shot, Bridgeport Police Say A man entered a local business for help after being shot overnight in Bridgeport, authorities said. It happened at around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 in the vicinity of the 1,000th block of East Main Street in Bridgeport. Bridgeport Police officers who arrived at the scene noticed a trail of blood that led to a local business, according to Scott Appleby, the director of the Office of Emergency Management & Communications for the City of Bridgeport.
