Drunk Man Screams Profanities Near Children, Acts Belligerent At CT Festival, Police Say A 55-year-old man faces charges after allegedly becoming drunk and belligerent at a festival in Connecticut and screaming profanities within earshot of children, police said.  The incident happened in New Haven County on Saturday, Aug. 19 around 3:45 p.m., when Milford Police were alerted of a man causing a disturbance at the Oyster Fest at the Milford Public Library at 57 New Haven Ave. (Route 162).  Arriving officers then saw the man acting belligerently and witnessed him yell profanities in front of festival patrons as well as children, according to police.  The man, ide…

5 Retailers Accused Of Selling Tobacco Products, E-Cigarettes To Minors After CT Detail Five Connecticut businesses were caught allegedly selling tobacco and e-cigarette to minors during a compliance check. The checks took place in New Haven County on Monday, Nov. 14 in Milford. The Milford Police Department working with the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program conducted unannounced compliance inspections of establishments that sell tobacco products and/or electronic cigarettes.
