The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11 in New Canaan. The 15-year-old female pedestrian was observed sitting on the grass near 157 Richmond Hill Road when officers arrived at the scene, New Canaan Police said. The girl stated she was on Marshall Ridge Road attempting to cross Richmond Hill Road when she was struck by the vehicle that was traveling westbound on Richmond Hill Road. Arlind Bajraktari, age 21, of New Canaan, was arrested on Tuesday, June 1, for an incident that took place on Monday, 31 in New Canaan. Man Turns Himself In For Fleeing Scene Of New Canaan Crash, Police Say A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly leaving the scene of a crash. Christopher Dezso, age 26, of Norwalk, was arrested on Tuesday, June 1, when he turned himself in to New Canaan Police and admitted that he was the person who had fled the scene of a crash on Friday, May 21, said the New Canaan Police. Dezso was driving a grey Ford van when the crash took place at New Norwalk Road and East Avenue in New Canaan before he fled the scene. He was arrested and charged with: Violating a no-passing zone Traffic control signals Evading Dezso was released on a $250 bond.

Worker Accused Of Stealing $3K In Cash, Alcohol From New Canaan Restaurant A Fairfield County restaurant employee was arrested after allegedly stealing more than $3,000 in alcohol and cash. Felipe Andaur-Leiva, age 33, of Fairfield, was arrested on Monday, May 17, for the thefts which took place at the Sole Restaurant in New Canaan, said New Canaan PD Lieutenant Jason Ferraro.  According to Ferraro, New Canaan Police responded to the restaurant in April for a report of theft by an employee.
