Suspect Caught Near New Canaan Residence After ID Theft Loss Of $3K, Police Say An incident of alleged identity theft has led to the arrest of a 26-year-old suspect near a New Canaan residence, police say. An New Canaan Police officer patrolled the area of Fieldcrest Road on Friday, March 15 to attempt to identify a suspect who had allegedly opened an AT&T account in the victim's name and purchased three iPhones for a total of $3,000, which were due to be delivered by FedEx.
