Woman Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Car In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County woman has died, hours after being struck by a car while crossing a roadway.
The incident took place around 6:20 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, at the I-95 exit ramp in Stamford.
The collision occurred when a 2015 Chevy, being driven by Alec Ward, a 26-year-old Shelton resident, was exiting southbound I-95 at Exit 9, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, of the Stamford Police.

Laptop, iPad, Jewelry Stolen After Window Of Vehicle Is Smashed In Fairfield County
Electronics, cash, and jewelry were stolen from a car parked in a Fairfield County elementary school parking lot after a suspect broke a window to steal the goods, police said.
Officers from the Darien Police Department responded to Holmes Elementary School on Monday, Nov. 29, where there was a report of a burglary that had taken place in the afternoon.
According to police, a woman said that her front right passenger window was smashed out and two bags were stolen from inside the vehicle.

A man who allegedly beat another person so badly he remains in the hospital on a ventilator with a brain bleed has been arrested by police.
Ohireime Julian Osemobor, age 29, was arrested on Sunday, June 6, by Stamford Police for the violent assault of the 66-year-old man which took place around 10 p.m., on Saturday, May 29, said Stamford PD Captain Richard Conklin.

Search On For Suspect After Woman Raped While Walking Home, Stamford Police Say
Police are looking for a man who raped a woman who had been walking home and are asking the public for help.
Stamford Police Sgt. Jennifer Lynch said a woman in her 20s was raped around 12:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, while walking home in the area of East Main Street and Lockwood Avenue.
The woman, who went to the hospital following the attack, was able to provide police with a basic description of her attacker, Lynch said.
Lynch said the man is described as being a Hispanic male, about 30 years old, 5-foot-9, with short hair. He was reportedly wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark pants.
