Battle Escalates Over Racial Slur Spraypainted On Stamford Home STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford Mayor David Martin will meet with local NAACP members as the controversy grows over a racial slur that was spraypainted on the garage of a High Clear Road home. The home at 81 High Clear Drive is owned by Heather Lindsay, who is white, and she shares it with her husband, Lexene Charles, who is black. Man Makes Four Dozen Harassing Calls To Stamford Spouse; Also Threatens Cop STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Long Island, N.Y., man allegedly harassed his wife by making four dozen telephone calls to her earlier this month and then in a phone call with police threatened to beat her up and do the same to the police officer, Stamford Police said. The couple are separated and on Feb. 4 he called his wife 21 times on the home phone and 27 times on her cell phone in a 24-hour period, Sgt. Simon Blanc said. New Canaan Man Challenges Norwalk Cop To Arrest Him In Shoplifting Case NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk Police officer took up a New Canaan man's offer to be arrested and slapped handcuffs on the man in an incident that started with an alleged shoplifting at the Bob's Store late Monday afternoon. Stratford Woman Charged With Spitting On Ex-Boyfriend In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn., -- More than two months after she allegedly spit on her ex-boyfriend's face a Stratford woman turned herself in to police on Saturday. Alanah M. Cook, 21, turned herself in after learning there was a warrant for her arrest. She was was charged with breach of peace and released after posting a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. Florida Man To Face Bank Robbery Charges In Stratford After Crashing Car STRATFORD, Conn. -- A Florida man who robbed a Webster Bank in Stratford of $1,200 on Friday and later attempted to rob a Walgreens Pharmacy was arrested after he crashed a stolen car in Milford, police said. Stratford Police said charges were pending against Keith Able, 55, of Florida. The car was stolen in South Carolina, police said. There were no weapons displayed and no one was hurt during the robberies, police said.

Cops: Cache Of IEDs, Weapons Found In Bust Of Stamford Man On Drug Charges STAMFORD, Conn. — Police seized a "tremendous amount of weaponry" at a North Stamford home including alleged improvised explosive devices that a 24-year-old man shared with his parents during a drugs and weapons bust Thursday night. Police: Fairfield Man Charged With Raging At Ex-Girlfriend In Easton EASTON, Conn. — A 46-year-old Fairfield man was arrested after arriving at his ex-girlfriend's home in Easton in what police described as a "rage," yelling and screaming obscenities and finally bashing into her car, police said. Police: Norwalk Man Found In Burning Car Tasered After Struggling With EMT NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man who awoke in his car to find it on fire and then told police who tasered him following a struggle that it didn't work is now under arrest.
