Man Accused Of Stealing $10K From Greenwich Retailer

A Westchester man is facing charges after police say he stole more than $10,000 from a retailer in Greenwich.

Greenwich Police say 40-year-old Joshua Spillman of Mount Vernon stole more than $10,000 in merchandise from a Greenwich Avenue retailer on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

The Greenwich Police Department obtained a warrant and responded to Westchester County Correctional Facility (10 Woods Road in Valhalla) Wednesday, April 10 to extradite Spillman to Connecticut.

The warrant includes the following charges:

  • Conspiracy to commit/first-degree larceny
  • First-degree larceny
  • Organized retail theft ($10,000+)

The warrant was signed by the Honorable John Blawie on Tuesday, March 21 with a court set bond of $150,000.

Spillman was taken into custody and transported back to Greenwich Police Headquarters, where he was formally arrested for the charges.

Spillman was unable to post the $150,000 bond and was held at Greenwich Police Headquarters for arraignment.
