After two days of worrying, a dog that bit a 12-year-old boy at a Fairfield County park has been located.
The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 13, at the Kiwanis Park in New Canaan.
The boy, of New Canaan, was bitten by one of two leashed dogs in the park, said New Canaan Police Animal Control Officer Allyson Halm.
He was facing a series of rabies shots if the dog could not be located, Halm said.
On Tuesday, July 14, the owner of the dog was located and officials said the dog is properly vaccinated so the boy will not need to receive shots.
