NEW CANAAN, Conn. – John A. Gesualdi, 91, of New Canaan, died on Wednesday, March 4, at Regency Heights of Stamford.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1923, in New Canaan, to John and Mary Rainone Gesualdi.
A lifelong resident of New Canaan, he was educated in the New Canaan school system. For many years, until he retired, he worked as a plumbing and heating contractor. He belonged to the Piedmont Association and various veterans groups in the area.
He is survived by one son, John P. Gesualdi (Lisa Bello) of New Canaan; one daughter, Lorraine Carbone (Anthony) of New Rochelle, N.Y.; two grandsons; and one brother, Vito Gesualdi of Bethel, Conn.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Connie and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be at Hoyt Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Darien, Conn.
