Scott Deicas, the former town school bus driver arrested in July after barricading himself in his New Canaan home, was arrested again Friday morning on charges of possessing child pornography, according to Chief John Troxell.
Deicas, 48, who drove school buses in Weston and Stamford, was arrested in late July after a standoff with police during which he barricaded himself in his home. That arrest came after allegations that he threatened Weston and New Canaan town officials on YouTube and the Weston schools Web page.
Weston police said they discovered the child pornography while searching Deicas' computer. To be ruled as child pornography, a suspect must have over 50 items clearly identified as a minor. Although Troxell could not say exactly how many were found, he indicated it was over 50. He was tarraigned Friday afternoon in Norwalk Superior Court and is being held on $250,000 bond although Weston police initially requested $750,000. His bond for the previous charges was set at $250,000.
Troxell said the case is still under investigation and Deicas' computer is still being checked for evidence.
