That's because Easley's best friend is fitness guru and former professional dancer Anna Kaiser whose method of fitness training has been used on everyone from A-list celebrities and athletes to desk jockeys and grandmas.
When Easley moved out from Manhattan in 2011 she suggested Kaiser host a master class at the Bedford Post Inn as a way to meet new people in the community. Kaiser loved it so much she created a weekly program for the group, renting space at 360 Fitness on Grove Street which became her inaugural beta program for what is now the fitness brand AKT.
Currently AKT holds classes four days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) at Halo in New Canaan. Classes range from beginning level (Happy Hour, AKTone) to advanced level (Progressive) and incorporate cardio, strength, and conditioning.
The Studio's signature Happy Hour workout features a warmup plus four segments of Kaiser's blend of dance cardio, sports training, Pilates, yoga, and strength.
Think you can’t dance? Kaiser says she knows classes can be intimidating at first, so she’s designed workouts to allow anyone to jump right in, regardless of fitness background or experience.
Starting Tuesday, March 1, AKT Studio, which has two locations in Manhattan and one in the Hamptons, is offering a new type of membership called Hall Pass which cost $99 for unlimited classes for a week. There will also be a two hour master classes taught by a senior instructor in early March.
The Studio is located at 45 Grove Street. Go HERE for more information.
