NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Two music legends, New Canaan residents Paul Simon and Harry Connick Jr., will honor the town's first responders in the New Canaan High School auditorium Sept. 29 to benefit the charity Staying Put In New Canaan.
The night will be emceed by New Canaan residents Brian Williams of "NBC Nightly News" and his daughter, Allison, of HBO's "Girls."
Connick and Simon have homes in New Canaan, and Simon has played several times in Fairfield County, including the Greenwich Town Party.
Staying Put in New Canaan is a nonprofit volunteer-supported organization "dedicated to giving our seniors the practical means and social support to live their lives to the fullest, safely and confidently, in the New Canaan community," according to the group's website.
General admission tickets cost $100 each, with reserved seating/reception tickets set at $250 each.
