The exhibition of works by 35 artists in a variety of media honors the history of Waveny’s Carriage Barn. Among the works are contemporary paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures, as well as vintage advertising posters.

“The Va Va Vroom exhibit promises to be among the best this year at the Carriage Barn,” said Steve Karl, vice president of KARL Chevrolet. For the Karl family, who were area pioneers in the blossoming automobile industry, the exhibit offers an opportunity to reflect on their own storied history.

“Here at KARL Chevrolet, we also plan to have several models of historic Chevrolets and photographs from our dealership’s archive on display, and visitors are welcome to stop by and enjoy them,” he continued.

“Va Va Vroom! The Art of the Vehicle” will be on display from Sunday, April 19 through June 14. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sundays. Information about the art exhibition and programs, as well as the Monaco Grand Prix Fundraiser, is available here or by calling (203) 972-1895.

The Carriage Barn is in Waveny Park, 681 South Ave. (Route 124), New Canaan.
