Mosquitoes Carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis Found In These New London County Towns Officials are warning residents to take precautions after mosquitoes carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis, a potentially fatal disease, were found in six Connecticut towns.  The infection-carrying mosquitoes were found in six towns across Tolland, Windham, and New London Counties, the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station announced on Tuesday, Sept. 12.  The six towns where the Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) carrying mosquitoes were found were:  Hampton; Killingly; Thompson; Tolland; Voluntown; Woodstock.
