CT Worker Burned During Equipment Fire A Fairfield County worker was burned during an equipment fire at a business. The incident took place in Shelton around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 16 at 30 Oliver Terrace, said the Shelton Fire Department. Firefighters responded to the business on a report of an equipment fire and several reports of a loud explosion in the area, the department said. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found smoke visible from the machine that inside the building. Only Two Employees Of CT Assisted Living Facility Overdose On Job, Police Say The only two employees on duty at an assisted living center in Connecticut both overdosed on fentanyl, leaving the patients without any help or supervision. The incident took place around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, when the East Haven Police received a 911 call from a visiting nurse at the Caroline Manor Assisted Living facility reported a possible overdose of two employees.
