IDs Released For 25-Year-Olds Killed, Driver In Hit-Run CT Crash Police have identified two 25-year-olds killed while crossing a street, and the hit-and-run driver involved in the incident in Fairfield County. The two were killed in Stamford around 2 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3 at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Main Street. Fully Involved Tesla Car Fire Takes Nearly 45 Minutes To Put Down In CT A fully-involved Tesla fire took in Fairfield County took firefighters nearly 45 minutes to extinguish due to its electric engine.  The fire began in Stamford around 11:20 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 15 in the parking lot behind the Blue Ginger Restaurant on Main Street. According to Capt. Philip Hayes, of the Stamford Fire Department, numerous people called 911 to report the car fire. The department dispatched 14 firefighters to the scene. Suspect Nabbed For String Of Seven CT Commercial Burglaries A Fairfield County man has been nabbed in connection with a string of seven burglaries of area businesses within the past month.  Fabio Martinez-Rodriguez, age 51, of Stamford, was arrested around 3:15 a.m., Monday, Oct. 18, by police following a reported break-in at a variety store in downtown Stamford. That's when officers responded to a break-in at Parkview Variety, 233 Main St., according to Captain Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police. Woman Found Dead In CT Apartment Woman Found Dead In CT Apartment
Woman Found Dead In CT Apartment Police are investigating the "untimely death" of a 56-year-old woman in Fairfield County.  Stamford patrol officers responded to an apartment at 26 Main St., at Stamford Manor, for a welfare check on Sunday, April 18, said Stamford Police Capt. Rich Conklin. "The investigating officers gained entry into the apartment and located the deceased resident," he said. Stamford investigators and an investigator from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene.  The OCME conducted an autopsy and the cause of death is pending.
