Five Hospitalized After Crash Between Jeep, Bus In East Haven
Five people received injuries after an alleged drunk driver crashed his Jeep Grand Cherokee into a transit bus on a Connecticut roadway.
It happened in New Haven County around 9 a.m., Sunday, March 13, at the intersection of Dodge Avenue and Prospect Place Extension in East Haven.
The driver, identified as Dario Alvarez-Lema, left the scene on foot prior to police arriving on the scene, said Lt. Stephen Paulson, of the East Haven Police.

92-Year-Old Killed In Three-Car Crash, CT State Police Say
A 92-year-old man was killed during a three-car crash in Connecticut over the weekend.
The crash took place around 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, in Windham County on Route 44, in Ashford, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to troopers, the crash occurred when a westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Alexandra Barsky, age 35 of New Jersey, slowed down for a vehicle that was turning in front of her when the vehicle behind her, a 1993 Dodge 350 pickup, driven by John Brozek, age 32, of Coventry attempted to avoid hitting her.

Police ID Woman Killed In Route 63 Head-On Collision Sunday, Oct. 11
Police have identified the woman who died in a head-on collision Sunday, Oct. 11, on Route 63.
Police said that Carol Gironda, 69, of Naugatuck, died on the scene of the accident at the intersection of Mill and North Church streets in Naugatuck around 3:45 p.m.
The preliminary investigation suggests a head-on collision between a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Nissan Rogue Gironda was driving, Naugatuck Police said. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
The Jeep’s driver, Joie Cascella, 40, of Waterbury, was transported to the hospital for treatment to injuries, police said. H…
