CT House Fire Displaces 10 Residents, Dog Ten Fairfield County residents are in the care of the Red Cross after a house fire destroyed a two-story home with three apartments. The fire occurred in Norwalk during the early morning hours of Wednesday, Jan. 3 a 1 Center Ave. According to Norwalk Assistant Fire Chief Steve Chay, firefighters responded to a two-story house fire and found fire showing through the first-floor windows. There were three apartments with a total of 10 occupants and one dog, Shay said. All residents were displaced as the house was posted unfit for occupancy.   No injuries were reported. The Red Cros…

13 Residents Displaced After CT Fire Thirteen people have been displaced following a fire at a two-and-half-story residential building in Danbury. Firefighters responded to the fire just after 10:30 p.m., Monday, May 15 after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire on Main Street, said Capt. Kevin Lunnie, of the Danbury Fire Department. The first arriving units found heavy fire conditions in the rear of the building. The blaze broke out around 11:45 a.m. Sunday, April 2 in Norwalk at the 30-unit facility in Norwalk at 296 Main Ave. Unit 28 and 27 were involved and were showing fire from both balconies from responders arrived, Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Shay said. Fire Breaks Out At Multi-Family Home In Fairfield County Nine people were left homeless following a fire that destroyed a multi-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire took place in Norwalk around 10:10 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 43 Lexington Ave. The fire started in the bedroom of the home and quickly spread to floors above, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Shay. There were nine occupants at home at the time of the fire and all escaped without injury, Shay said.
