Worker Critically Injured In CT A worker who was critically injured and stuck 40 feet up a tree was rescued by members of a Fairfield County fire department. The incident occurred in Shelton around 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26 on Meghan Court. According to the fire department, Shelton firefighters arrived on the scene and found the worker stuck 40 feet up a tree. Members attempted to reach the man using ground ladders but were unsuccessful, the department said. Woman Falls 40 Feet From CT Bridge, Lands On Construction Barge A woman who was working on a Fairfield County bridge was seriously injured when she fell through a hole and landed 40 feet below on a construction barge. The incident took place in Stratford around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Devon Bridge, said Robert Daniel, assistant chief/fire marshal for the Stratford Fire Department.
