Connecticut Catalytic Converter Thief Nabbed 5 Years Later In NY, Police Say A suspected catalytic converter thief from New York has been nabbed over five years later following an investigation that began in Connecticut and spanned two states and three counties. Jeraud Anthony, age 38, of the Bronx, was arrested on multiple charges Monday, Feb. 12, in connection with a stolen catalytic converter outside a business in Fairfield County. According to Darien Police, a woman contacted officers in September 2018 saying that someone had cut the catalytic converter off of her vehicle outside Darien Sport Shop on Post Road (Route 1). 19-Year-Old Man Killed In New Haven Shooting: Suspect On Loose Authorities are searching for the suspect involved in a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead in Connecticut.  The shooting happened in New Haven on Sunday, Nov. 19 just before 8:30 p.m. in the area of Downes Street between Columbus Avenue (Route 1) and Congress Avenue, according to New Haven Police. According to the department, officers who arrived at the scene found a 19-year-old man with several gunshot wounds and secured the crime scene. Know Him? Man Wanted In CT Store Larceny Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with two toy store larcenies.  The incidents took place in Westport on Monday, Aug. 7, and Friday, Aug. 11, at Awesome Toys at 429 Post Road East (Route 1).  According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, a white Hispanic man entered the store around 4:45 p.m. and stole a “Traxxas” truck and art supplies.  The man is described as being 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt, khaki pants, and a beige baseball cap. Man Killed In CT Parking Lot Crash, Police Say A 59-year-old man working as a surveyor was killed after being struck by a car in the driveway of a business in Fairfield County.
