Man Nabbed After Firing Shots At Cumberland Farms In CT, Police Say A man was busted for allegedly firing shots at a convenience store in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Shelton around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Cumberland Farms on River Road. When Shelton Police arrived they discovered a broken window and recovered a spent shell casing in the parking lot, said Detective Christopher Nugent of the Shelton Police. Home Burglar From Hamden Caught In Act By Fairfield County Resident, Police Say A 44-year-old Connecticut man was charged with burglary after he was confronted by the homeowner in Fairfield County. New Haven County resident Michael Ramchandani, of Hamden, was arrested for the Sunday, Oct. 15 incident that took place at a River Road home. According to Det. Richard Bango, of the Shelton Police, a River Road resident interrupted a burglary in progress at his home. When Ramchandani was carrying items out of the home and confronted, he fled in his car, said Bango. Clerks At Seven CT Businesses Busted Selling Tobacco, E-Cigs To Minors Employees at seven businesses were busted selling tobacco and e-cigarettes to minors during a special sting operation, police in Fairfield County announced. In late April, in Shelton, law enforcement agencies conducted unannounced compliance inspections at 17 locations to see if clerks would sell to underage buyers. Of the 17 locations, seven were found to be non-compliant and offending clerks were ticketed and fined $300.
