New Update: IDs Released In Wrong-Way Merritt Parkway Crash With 4 Fatalities This story has been updated:  The identities have been released of three of the four people killed in an overnight crash on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) in Fairfield County.  According to Connecticut State Police, the collision occurred around 1:45 a.m., Thursday, May 9, in Stratford. State Police said a 2016 Honda Civic was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it hit a 2010 Chrysler Country Touring van head-on. Both vehicles burst into flames. Woman Hospitalized After Tree Falls On Merritt In CT, Hitting Vehicles Amid Strong Winds Two cars were hit by a tree on the Merritt Parkway and another hit the tree as it fell in the roadway in Fairfield County amid very windy conditions. The incident occurred in Westport around 2:50 p.m. Monday, March 11, south of Exit 42, Connecticut State Police said. The three vehicles, a Toyota Corolla, a Toyota Sienna, and a Nissan Altima,  were traveling south on the parkway in the right lane when the tree fell, hitting the top of the first two vehicles. 29-Year-Old Killed In Crash On Merritt Parkway State Police are searching for witnesses to a fiery crash that killed a 29-year-old Fairfield County man in a three-car collision on the Merritt Parkway. The crash took place in Stamford around 10:20 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31 on the northbound side, Connecticut State Police said. Serious Injuries Reported After Fiery CT Crash Several serious injuries were reported after a fiery single-vehicle crash on a stretch of the Merritt Parkway.
