Craig's Fine Jewelry, a Main Street staple in Ridgefield, is closing on Friday, March 29, as the owner Billy Craig retires, a sign in the window announced. The founder, Helen Craig, purchased the business in 1950 never imagining that her small family business would be what it is today, the company website says. Crash On Main Street: New Britain Duo Charged With Stealing SUV From Driveway Two teens were charged with larceny after allegedly stealing an SUV out of a Fairfield County driveway. The incident took place in Ridgefield around 10:40 p.m., on Monday, May 22 on Nutmeg Ridge located off Branchville Road (Route 102). Capt. Jeff Raines of the Ridgefield Police said the department received a call reporting that several individuals were attempting to steal their car.
