Man, 41, Charged With Manslaughter Of CT Woman, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been charged with manslaughter in the Sept. 2022 death of his girlfriend following an investigation.
Anthony Ray Vines, Jr., age 41, of Stamford, was charged on Friday, Oct. 6 with one count of manslaughter with a firearm for the homicide of Mary Stephanie Guirand.
Guirand was 36 years old at the time of her death, said Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police.

A man who allegedly distributed drugs at an inn was caught with large quantities of illegal narcotics after being trailed by an unmarked law enforcement vehicle in Connecticut, police said.
Hartford resident Bruce Michaud, age 36, was arrested on drug possession and firearm charges following an investigation into his alleged distribution of narcotics at the Bradley Inn in Windsor Locks at 5 Ella Grasso Tnpk., Windsor Locks Police announced on Friday, July 14.

Man From Region Nabbed For Shooting Car, Police Say
A Western Massachusetts has been arrested on firearms charges in connection with a shooting where bullets hit a car.
The arrest took place in Hampden County in Springfield around 8:45 a.m., Thursday, May 12.
Victor Aytche, age 29, of Springfield, was arrested on a warrant by members of the Springfield Police investigative unit in connection with a shooting that took place on Wednesday, May 4, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police.
Aytche became a suspect during the investigation into the May 4 shooting in which a car was shot, Walsh said.

CT Man Sentenced For Dark Web Fentanyl Distribution
A Connecticut man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison for trafficking drugs on the dark web, leading to a fatal overdose, and firearm charges.
Barry Duclos, age 43, of New London County, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 1, to 170 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
The US Attorney's Office said Duclos, a resident of Norwich, was found guilty of the following charges on July 30:
