The Fairfield County incident happened on Thursday, Jan. 18 in the town of Darien, according to the Darien Police Department. CT Man Accused Of Crashing Into Brick Wall, Utility Pole A Fairfield County man was charged with failure to drive right and evading responsibility after crashing into a rock wall and utility pole. Walter Herbert Brown, age 20, of New Canaan was arrested on Saturday, June 24 following the crash on White Oak Shade Road in New Canaan. According to New Canaan Police Lt. Marc J. DeFelice, officers responded to the area for a report of a crash and found Brown had struck a rock wall and utility pole causing minor damage. CT Woman Driving Drunk Crashes Into Embankment, Police Say A Fairfield County woman was charged after police said she drove with a BAC nearly three times the legal limit. Police received two reports of a vehicle driving erratically at about 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, according to the Darien Police Department.  The second caller told police that the vehicle ran off the roadway and struck an embankment on Middlesex Road near Colony Road in Darien, authorities said.  Police said officers located the driver, identified as 44-year-old Laura Gallo-Swimm, of New Canaan, in the vehicle.
