Woman Breaks Into Victim's Car In CT, Tries Cashing Check In Her Name: Police Authorities are looking for a woman who allegedly smashed a victim's car window, stole her purse, and then tried cashing a check in their name at a Connecticut bank. Authorities Seek Info After Deep River Firefighter's Gear Stolen From Car Authorities are investigating after a Connecticut firefighter's car was broken into and her firefighting gear was stolen. The Deep River Fire Department, located in Middlesex County, announced that the car break-in happened during the night of Saturday, April 16. "One of our members had her car broken into last night," the fire department announced on Sunday, April 17.
